To configure Outlook Express, open
the program and click on Tools, Accounts.
Click on Add, Mail. Enter the name you would like displayed, ie: John Smith and
click next.
Enter your FULL email address ie; john.smith@spanishemail.com and click next.
Your incoming server is POP3 and BOTH servers are mail.spanishemail.com.
Your account name is your email address and your password is as supplied.
Do NOT use Secure Password Authentication.
Click Finish. Click on the account in the menu and click on the Servers tab.
Make sure the box My server requires authentication is ticked, click the box if
it is not.
To configure Outlook, open the
program and click on Tools, Email Accounts.
Click on add and e-mail account and next. Click on POP3 and next.
Your name is the name you would like displayed,
email address and user name are your full email address.
Incoming and Outgoing Mail Servers are mail.spanishemail.com
Your Password is as supplied.
Click on More Settings and the Outgoing Server Tab.
Make sure the My Outgoing Server(SMTP) requires authentication is ticked, click
the box if it is not.
Also check the button Log on to incoming server before sending mail.
Click on OK, then Next, then Finish.
Many internet service providers do not
like you using outgoing mail servers other than their own,
you may find from time to time that you need to turn Outgoing Server
authetication off.
The above setting have worked fine for over 2 years, however ISP's change
configuration very often.
If you are having problems sending mail, check that web mail is working before
changing your email configuration.
